NSYSA Code of Conduct Agreement

The following general understandings, expectations, and Codes of Conduct are associated with the all Northwest Sound Youth Soccer Association Board of Directors events and activities, whether in-person or digitally on behalf of NSYSAsoccer.org. By participating in a Board of Directors meeting or event, YOU ( ) are indicating that you have read, understand, and agree to the following items.

  1. You ( ) and NSYSA agree that the terms and conditions of this entire Code of Conduct agreement regarding my involvement with the NSYSA Board of Directors, and this Site ("NSYSAsoccer.org"). You may indicate your acceptance of this Agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button at the end of this Agreement. Acceptance of this Agreement in this manner will have the same legal enforceability as an originally signed paper version.

  2. I understand that the goal of Northwest Sound Youth Soccer Association (NSYSA) is to provide organizational framework between Washington Youth Soccer and our member clubs to help promote youth soccer for the youth in the counties in which our member clubs operate.  This will include but not be limited to helping build valuable life skills for our players through the game of soccer.

  3. I will be an advocate for all kids.  Therefore, I will support all programs that are offered by NSYSA and its member clubs, and will work to make improvements in such.

  4. I agree to understand and abide by the by-laws, rules and policies of NSYSA, and will work to make changes as needed.

  5. I will attend regular Board Meetings, as provided for in the NSYSA by-laws.

  6. I will know and understand the Code of Conduct for coaches, players and parents.  As a Board Member, I recognize that I represent NSYSA, its Board of Directors and all its programs.  Therefore I will act in accordance to all Codes of Conduct set down by NSYSA, and will set an example for others to follow.

  7. You (as a NSYSAsoccer.org participant) agree that you will maintain your Profile with current contact information including, but not limited to, your Mailing Address, Telephone Numbers and Email addresses.

  8. I will support the efforts of the NSYSA contractor and will provide direction and assistance as needed.

  9. I will recognize that as a Board Member, I am a part of a team.  I shall always set aside personal differences that I may have with other members, and will strive to work as a team for the benefit of all kids which NSYSA and its member clubs serve.

  10. I recognize that I hold this position to benefit the youth and their families, and not to serve my own interests, or for self-recognition.

  11. When making decisions at the board level, I will always ask whether my decision benefits all kids.

  12. I will never use my position as a board member for my own personal gain, or for the personal gain of my family members or friends.
  13. I recognize that I am here to help create a community of goodwill and make a positive impact on our young people with a passion for service while keeping fun in the game and within our board and administrative duties.
  14. I shall treat others with respect, allowing them to express their ideas and concerns in an orderly manner and shall not be rude, overbearing, argumentative nor use inappropriate language or perform actions that are inappropriate in promoting a deep sense of community goodwill within our organization as a whole.
  15. I recognize that it is a privilege to serve on the NSYSA Board of Directors.  I further recognize that if I break this Code of Conduct, that my offense shall be reviewed by the remainder of the board under an executive session.  If the board finds by a majority vote of the members present that I have broken this Code of Conduct, I shall receive the following consequences.

  16.           caution First Offense – A written apology shall be issued to the Board of Directors and/or to any individual (s), team (s), or leagues that may be affected.
    •   sendoff Second Offense – Position on Board of Directors shall be terminated as provided for in the by-laws.
  17. This Code of Conduct is in effect for 1-month from the date of acceptance of this Agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button, unless rescinded by written instruction to the NSYSA Board
